My Story
I learned to do automatic writing in February 1998 after a very intuitive Reiki master saw the words “automatic writing” while she was working on me. When she shared that information, I had no idea what she was talking about—but at a deep level, I knew what she was sharing was important.
I went home that day and researched “automatic writing” on the Internet. That’s when I discovered a book called How To Do Automatic Writing by Edain McCoy.
Shortly after reading this book, I gave automatic writing a try. While my first attempt was a bit disjointed, I knew from the word selection and intonation that I had not consciously created the message. I’ve been automatic writing since – for myself, friends, acquaintances and even people I’ve never met.
The messages I receive are very loving. They offer encouragement, insight, wisdom and clarity. At times, I don’t want to “hear” what I am receiving, but I have never received anything that felt negative, angry or hostile.
I usually begin by asking, “What is in my highest good to know at this time?” From there, I can ask the same question for others – or more specific questions if warranted. I have also been able to channel loved ones who have passed if the connection is so desired from both the living and those who have crossed over.
When I was first automatic writing for myself and asked, “Who are you?” I received, “The white beings of light that surround you.” I believe this is the angelic realm – our “guides,” if you will. But beyond that, I believe that the energy is Divine in nature since we are all connected; we are all the energy of the same Source. I believe that’s why I can ask (even if I do not know you) what is in your highest good to know and receive words that resonate deep within you.
Many people have called what I do “a gift.” In fact, when I first discovered it, I thought it was that. But over the past decade, I have come to know that we all have within us the ability to connect and receive information that is in our highest good to know.
I believe mine comes through in the form of writing because I am a writer. I’m most comfortable sharing in this format (although, I also sit with people physically and share verbally what I am receiving rather than typing).
We all have moments when we feel something in our gut and we know intuitively that we should/shouldn’t do something. We might get goose bumps, or feel a strong desire to call a loved one, or an unusual urge to drive a different route, for example. Whatever way the information comes through, I believe that we are all connected to the Source of all.
Universal wisdom is all around us and readily accessible. It’s my belief that WHEN we believe such connection is possible, the information we receive gains greater clarity and we’re more apt to “hear.”
